Define

This is our favourite part, and it's the part most consultants skip. We spend time getting to know you, your business, and how it actually runs day to day — not how the org chart says it runs.

• What is your business really about?
• What are you actually trying to accomplish?
• Where is time going that shouldn't be?

Then we draw up blueprints showing how the technology could help. Often it turns out that moving one manual process online does more than the big system you came in asking about.

Change your mind freely here. It is a great deal easier to move walls on a blueprint than after the house is built, so this is exactly where we want the second thoughts to happen.

Design

Several things go into design and all of them matter to whether the finished system gets used: your branding, how it looks, how easy it is to learn, and the overall experience of working in it every day.

We take the ideas from the Define stage and bring them to life as a prototype that looks like the finished product. You can click through it and react to it before a line of real code exists.

This is the point where the project starts to feel real. Design is the deliberate creation of a specific experience — it is not decoration applied at the end.

Develop

The approved design becomes working software. The things that are easy to get wrong and expensive to fix later are our responsibility, not yours:

• Performance — it stays quick as your data grows
• Security — your customers' information stays yours
• Reliability — it works on a Monday morning
• Accessibility — everyone on your team can use it

We build on established frameworks and keep the code readable, so another developer could pick it up if they ever needed to. You should never be trapped with us because nobody else can understand your system.

Deploy

Everything is built, tested and reconciled. We put it live, we're there while your team settles into it, and we keep it running afterwards.

Going live is the start of the relationship, not the end of the project. Most of our clients are still with us a decade later, which is the part of this page we're proudest of.
