What we build, and what we keep running
Six things. If a project isn't one of them, we'll say so and point you somewhere better — that is usually the most useful thing we can do in a first call.
Custom web applications
Software built around how your business already works, rather than the other way round. It captures your data, runs your process, connects to the systems you already pay for, and reports on all of it.

Maintenance and support
Software is never finished. Most of our clients have been with us ten years or more — one for over twenty-five — because launch day is where the relationship starts, not where the project ends.
We patch it, extend it as the business changes, and answer the phone when something matters. You are not filing a ticket into a queue; you are calling the people who wrote the code.
Databases and data work
PostgreSQL and SQL Server. Getting years of records out of spreadsheets and paper folders and into something that keeps them safe, searchable and shareable — without losing a row on the way.
This is where the accounting background earns its keep. Every migration we run gets reconciled: control totals before, control totals after, and an explanation for any difference. If we can't tell you the numbers match, we don't call it done.
Managed hosting
Your application runs on Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services, set up and monitored by the same people who built it. Backups, certificates, patching and uptime stop being something you have to think about.
When something breaks at 6am, there is no argument about whether it's the hosting company's problem or the developer's. It's ours.
Getting off a legacy system
Most small organisations have one: an application nobody wants to touch, running on something well past its retirement, holding twenty years of history that cannot be lost. The people who built it are long gone.
We move those onto current technology — carefully, in stages, with the old system still running until the new one has earned the switch. It is the work we most enjoy, and the reason several of our clients first called us.
Security and access
Single sign-on so people use the account they already have, roles so they see only what they should, and the unglamorous discipline that keeps your customers' information where it belongs.
Several of the systems we run hold sensitive personal data. That shapes how we build everything else.
